Why are You Not Using the Best WordPress Plugins?

You might be writing constantly, but are you using some of the best WordPress plugins? These plugins have been tried, approved and used by many bloggers.

These applications add very useful features that enhance your blog. They can help provide a far better experience for your websites community.

Implementing any of these will offer great benefits to your sites visibility, functionality and credibility.

All in One SEO Pack. Incredibly useful for SEO. It allows you to had a custom title, description and keywords to your posts and pages. I use this and it helps me fine tune my content for the search engines. It also gives character count for the title and description.

Contact Form 7. There might be many form creation plugins, but I personally find many too complex for simple forms. When you want to add a simple contact or feedback form, this plugin is very helpful. I use this and like it very much. It also offers captcha.

WP Super Cache. This plugin is useful for busy sites or sites with limited bandwidth. It allows the saving of previously delivered pages as HTML. This will improve the load speed of your site and prevent downtime with traffic spikes.

WordPress Related Posts. This plugin help boost readership to other posts that readers might have missed. Helps increase page views and lower bounce rates.

Subscribe to Comments. This plugin will help improve the dialog between your commentators. Commentators will want to follow the hot topics and heated debates.

Top Commentators Widget. This plugin is great for boosting comments. It provides a do follow link on the home page (or wherever you choose to place it). This is a big incentive for visitors to leave comments if they know you give do follow opportunities to commentators.

Akismet. This was created by WordPress’s original developer. Very useful in the fight against spam. Many use this when their blogs start getting a lot of traffic because it’s almost impossible to screen every comment manually.

This is certainly not an exhaustive list. And these are some of the best but there are plenty of plugins available. Some may be more complex or offer more features than these. But these are very popular and I think they deserve to be on a best of class list like this one.

I will be adding to this list over time…until it reaches a good 25 or so plugins you can use on your blog.
